Yes it is, as advertised. That oil would've been in the combustion chambers over the course of the 840 miles. :scared:

Installed the billet technology catch can before the road trip to San Diego. I used the standard attachment to the stud from the water pump to mount it. Makes for a straight shot for both hoses to the catch can, but makes for a little effort to remove the bottom of the catch can. No hill for a climber. I like the looks of this mount compared to the Z mount the has the catch can standing up in front of the right hand cylinder head.
Here's what was in the catch can after 840 miles with 644 miles of it freeway 75 mph @ 2300 rpm, the remaining 200 miles of town driving. With the can bottom sitting upright there was about 1/16" of oil in the can. Now I have a gauge as to how far and what type of driving results in this amount of oil. Looks like I'll to 1000 miles before removing the collected oil from now on. Here's a pic of the can bottom at a slight angle.

I am going to look into adding a drain valve to the bottom of the CC, it is a pain. Every 1K miles isn't a big pain though. Yes I know what you mean about Minnie Pearle, and that sticker is gone. :lol:We'll done, the CCs are only effective if you drain/empty them enough and you have found about the best interval 1-2k miles. I have the Moroso though and when seeing what you have to go thru to empty those I wonder why no one has ever added a drain valve to one, seems a lot easier to drill/tap those than continue to remove them? Also the picture looks like you have modded the engine bay but left the sticker on the intake there Minnie Pearle ( if you don't know who that is leave it on, you are too young, LOL)!
I now have 6600 miles on the R/T Classic, and have emptied the catch can twice since installation. I have now bought from Billet Technology their new clear catch can base. I will be installing this new clear base at 7000 miles and from that time forward, every 1000-1300 miles I'll check the oil level in the clear can and open the radiator drain valve that I installed in the aluminum bottom of the clear catch can. The plastic hose goes down and through the plastic shield at the base of the radiator. I'll drain it into a container when necessary.

Installed the Billet Technology clear catch can today with the drain valve installed. Routed the clear plastic tube down thru a hole already in the plastic lower radiator shield.
