What kind of HP and Torque is the RT Challengers 5.7L really making? The grunt/pull is awesome for a 4000lb+ vehicle. I had the privilege of owning a stock '69 RR with 383 magnum/727 auto/3.23 and my stock '09 RT Classic 6sp is easily quicker. Not wanting to spark a new vs old car debate, just curious about the real power level of the 5.7L. Thanks:thumbsup:

multiple rwhp dyno charts are showing it between 390-400 hp(376 advertised, numbers show its underrated) and around 410tq (as advertised) at the crank.

i dont think they make THAT much. mine dyno'd 347hp and 379Lbft bone stock with 1203kms on it.
What you saw on the dyno is rwhp, manufactures rate hp at the crank. So 347 is very strong for stock. Most dyno at 335ish :bigthumb:

sorry, my post is worded kinda weird and misleading...what i'm saying is the dyno's number show the rear wheel horsepower. those numbers are equating to 390-400 at the crank after you factor in the parasitic loss through the drivetrain.
