At the top of the window sticker for my 2009 Challenger it says "CHALLENGER SRT8 LIMITED EDITION", what made it a "Limited Edition"?
Thanks in advance

The SRT8s were denoted as "limited edition" from '08 through '10. I think that description was dropped when the SRT 392 version came along for '11.

There were ~ 9.5k-9.9k during the '09/'10 production...in the years subsequent, SRT 392 models sold in lower numbers.

Back between ‘03 and ‘10, the SRT line was a limited run per vehicle model. The SRT4 Neon (‘03-‘05) SRT4 Caliber (‘08-‘09), the SRT6 Crossfire, Challenger/Charger/300C/Magnum/Cherokee SRT8, and then the SRT10 Viper and SRT10 Ram. SRT was meant to be like the Mazdaspeed line and only produced in limited run on various models and then discontinued after a couple years to ultimately make them collectible. But when demand followed, they ended up making the SRT trim an option. So starting in 2011, the SRT line was offered just like the SS and SVT from competing companies.
