Hello,[
I have a question for all.
If there were 2750 plum crazy purple challengers produced total in 2010.
U.S. and Canada.
2350 to the U.S. and 400 to Canada i am told.

How many were built as R/Ts / SRTs / Others?
Auto's / 6 speeds?
Does anyone know the stats on that one?

There were 400 plum crazy and 400 panther pink to Canada as far as i know.
As for the detanator yellow,,,,i am not sure but will check into for you all.

I keep hearing different production numbers (4000 total SRT/RT for both US and Canada, as well as the numbers you quoted). I'd love to see more confirmation as well as breakdown of this.

When I saw the Pink one at the Texas State Fair it had a placard that said 4000 of them would be made. Don't know about limits on the Plum Crazy.

Wow, This is a tougher question than i thought.

I thought the Challenger Guru's would be all over this thread.
Maybe the stat's have just not yet been released.
I found Most of the 2009 production #'s on a site called Allpar.
It's a really good site.
Lot's of info.
But the 2010's seem to be non existent as of yet.

I will go to my Dodge dealer and see if i can find out more stat"s from them.
But i have my doubt's.

Can anyone confirm that the 2350 number mentioned in that article is correct?

Production Numbers

There have been many inquiries to date on this forum as well as others regarding production figures based on color, engine size, tranny and model year. Chrysler will not answer. Their stock answer is they don't have the personnel to dedicate to research that question. In reality you may come up with a total number of a particular color produced but you won't have the critical info regarding how many of what type. I've been rebuffed more than a few times by Chrysler when asking and I admit it stings. I believe the source that AllPar.com had on the inside has dried up as well. Maybe Chrysler might someday find that its base of loyal fans deserve to be given that info and set about to compile the info we crave but I doubt it.

They ought to take a lesson from Ford. When I had my GT500, I paid $40 for a certificate that showed my VIN, how many GT500s were made that year, and how many were made in my color. They could do it for the Chargers and Challengers and Vipers and not worry about the other car lines.

Actual final PCP production Nov09 thru Feb'10 as verified thru SRT & Motorsports Communications Department:

2010 Plum Crazy Challengers: 1,398 (R/T) and 939 (SRT8) = 2,337.

I can't tell you model brake downs or colors, but as of Dec.2/10, I've found their total production numbers.

End of November
2009 - 27969 - 2548 were built in November

2010 - 38364 - 0 were built in November

Charger numbers were huge. They built 36000 more of them in 10 than in 09.

Here's the link

Since 0 were built in November, is it safe to assume that 38,364 is the total of 2010 model year Challengers?
Or is this not reflective of model years?

I'd agree. Going by their own numbers, 38,364 is the total product number of Challengers for 2010. All models.

Allpar listed the 09's as 31000 and change.
I think I seen 7100 number else where for 08's, even though it was said the 6400 were being built? Looked like they left out the numbers for the Mexican market which I think was around 700?

Sorry, I'm still a little confused. Total production for the model year or calendar year?
I'm wondering if it includes '10's that were built at the end of '09.
