My cousin bought a used Challenger and the battery died and would not take a charge. He has now replaced the battery with a new one. His problem is that now the fob won't open the door or the trunk. Does the car need to go to the dealer for some sort of programming ?

You mean the battery in the trunk was replaced right? Try replacing the fob battery. First push and hold the lock/unlock button simultaneously and hold a few seconds. Supposed to reset to Valet mode.

He put a trickle charger on the battery for a day and it did not work. Ended up installing a new battery and now the fobs don't respond. Different year Challengers do different things. That's why I love this forum for finding out good information. I let you know if the suggestion works .....or not.
