The rocker moldings on both sides of my Challenger have broken. Dealership wanted $1200 JUST FOR PARTS. And online these plastic pieces are $200-270. I don't want to pay almost $600 for those. That's an outrageous price.


Does anybody here know an easy fix for this problem? I was thinking double-sided tape, but I'm not sure if the molding actually makes contact with the metal underneath. I know it was a common problem for this year Challenger, but it's been almost 10 years and was hoping someone here had dealt with this before.

I don't know, something like that I would try using clear silicone RTV in a caulking gun. Clean and dry both contact surfaces really good. Have some alcohol handy for ooz cleanup. Use good painters tape to hold for 24 hours. This tape holds but is easy to remove. Once that silicone sets its got pretty good holding power. Good luck.
