Looking at adding JBA shorties to my car. Currently only have a flowmaster cat back. A few questions,
1) will I needed a custom tune?
2) do I order the set for the 5.7L or do I upgrade to the 6.4 St 8 shorties?
3) do I need any other parts to have them installed?
4) will it throw any codes?

I did a search, and want to make sure I get it right.
Thanks in advance.

1 no not at all, but a custom tune will help improve power with these added

2 If your talking about JBA, then just order the 5.7, not sure if the cat/mid pipe would connect to the JBA 6.4

3 YES, order mopar gaskets!!!

4 No, I never did.

Oh, do I need to wait until the factory warranty expire to do this?
Thats between you and your dealer.

If you swap headers then go back with a power window issue, it should never be a problem, but if you swap headers then go back with an engine noise, or trans issue, they may quickly point to the headers and say too bad. That is by no means right, but they can refuse any warranty work they choose.
On the other hand, I know for a fact that some dealers install these types of mods all day, and never bat an eye on any warranty issue, so again, talk to your service rep, and other locals who have modded their HEMIs and see what they have to say :)

rule of thumb, as long as the CATs are left alone you "should" be good.
