does anyone know what type plastic the fuel tank is made of? Mine has a small hole in it and the dealer wants $800.00 for a new one. I want to try and epoxy it if it can be done. Any suggestions?

Find the leak...if it's not a crack..and just a small puncture..use a self-tapping construction screw with the washer and rubber seal already attached. The sort of screw used on tin buildings....these come in various lengths...but you can use it to 'tap' the hole..then cut it off shorter if you fear puncturing the fuel pickups and other in-tank goodies.

Do you mean those soldering iron type welders?
I like the screw with the washer idea assuming the washer is made out of fuel stable rubber but really on a new car I wouldn't want a patched tank.
