2011 RT tricks

4628 Views 6 Replies 4 Participants Last post by  Gecko
I have had my 2011 RT Classic, auto, STP, push-button start, for a bit over a week now and have unlocked some of the elusive tricks that looking through many posts have possibly changed a bit for the 2011 from the previous years.

First is the extended EVIC menu. From the compass screen, hold the up arrow for ten seconds, then press the down arrow, after about four seconds the extended features will appear. You cannot go back to the regular menu until you turn the car off and back on.

Second is the ESP OFF. Bear in mind this is a RT Classic with STP, so what works with my 2011 might not work with yours.
In drive, but not moving, hold the ESP off button until ESP OFF is displayed under the speedo (maybe ten seconds)...it was that simple! You can turn it back on by pressing the ESP button again, be careful, this car does have some power and it has traction control for a reason!

Anyone with more 2011 information, like ECM tuning, CAI, exhaust etc. please add to this thread so 2011 owners like me, might track it down easier.

I plan on some exhaust mods and a lockpick/rear camera mod. I have the 430N system, when they are complete, I'll post the results. It could be a few weeks.

Not to be a jerk but use the search function to look up past post in the forums. All of this has been discussed in numerous post with 2011 owners.
With that said I would be curious to see your rear camera mod when you are finished.
Gecko, I don't think you or anyone who points to the search function is a jerk, I just seem to have to do quite a bit of information weeding to get what I need using search, maybe I'm not using all the search features properly.
That said, what is your opinion of your Flowmaster Force II? I am thinking (after a 20 minute search) that the 28F package is auto, so I'm really interested in your opinion, especially in drone, I hear some in my stock system, I'd hate to invest money and make it worse.
For all you new guys, we have a thread called "How to, DIY, Tips & Tricks," that contains all of this information and much more.

Thread Moved

It's not really a "Dodge Challenger R/T Specific" topic.
Agreed. The thread has been moved to "How to, DIY, Tips & Tricks."

Well flowmaster will says it works with the 2011 and it does but you will need to cut the pipes 3 inches to keep the mufflers from rubbing against the trunk and banging on the end of the drive shaft. It's far from a perfect fit which was disappointing because I have used borla and magnaflow kits on past vehicles with no problem. I also took it to a shop after I was done to have them make sure it was aligned and weld everything in place. I hate clamps.

After it was installed I can say I love it! It is a great system. Louder than stock and really growls when you step on it. When you are just cruising around and even on the interstate no drone, its very quiet! I think it is worth the money, check ebay I was able to save a lot getting it from a reseller there. I paid right around $600 shipped.
