2011 SRT8 Built but not delivered!

Anyone else having the same issue? I ordered my new 2011 - SRT8 - 392 on December 23, 2010 and the Ontario plant released it on March 10, 2011 but I am now being told that there is a drivers strike and that all the new orders are still sitting in Ontario. I was told it would be here no later than March 28th and just got the "strike" news yesterday. Something doesn't add up.

yeah there alot of us in the same boat. I ordered mine in Nov. was supposed to ship 5 times already....I doubt it will arrive by the 28th now from what I am hearing about the strikes and stuff. There are several other post about this.
What I don't get is that no one seems to care about the "buyers"! We shell out all this money for a vehicle and the dealerships are just "whatever".....Blows me away how Dodge has so little concern over customer satisfaction?
Its not the dealers(remember they dont make any money until you pay for your car), and its not Brampton(they have a super efficient build system), its the screwy process Chrysler uses between built, and delivered. I have ordered 3 new Dodges since '08 and its been the same each time. I have yet to get a car within a month after it was built-especially if it had to go to ground effects for stripes.
I order mine 11/22 built 02/04 still in canada.
i say get new drivers- plenty of people needing jobs, kill the lazy ass union, cause they suck!
So let me start off with .... I am Canadian. So I called my "peeps" in Ontario and there is NO STRIKE. Then I googled it....Still no strike. So then I called Dodge customer service. I talked to a rep in ONTARIO and used my Canadian charm to find out what was really going on. They say that my car is in transit, there is no strike, and they have no idea what my dealership is talking about. They show it loaded onto the train in Michigan. The dealership is telling me that the strike is the truck drivers who drive the new cars from the Brampton facility accross the border to Michigan to be loaded on the train. The rep in Ontario also told me that she has had more than one call about false information coming out of my dealership today.
700 Chrysler vehicles are being held hostage by the shipper. I bet some Challengers are in that group.

1st of all, welcome to the U.S. Second, better call your "Peeps", because they are obviously mis-informed!
I appreciate the article. It explains a lot. But there is no strike. It's basically a law suit. Semantics I know, but facts matter when you are trying to understand why you are not getting your order. So does anyone know what will happen next?
ChallyChick,

We have shared some PMs about this and I do have some news. While we could not get the VIN to show us anymore than you already know, we did receive a vehicle to our facility today that was tied up in that Allied Dispute. With that being said, there is a good chance your car should be there shortly!

Speak to you soon.
James
Thanks! That does sound promising!
Mine is on the move also, it is on a railcars headed home to Daddy.
yes mine just shipped finally also..things are begining to move.
And they tell me that mine left Michigan too. NOW - Let me throw this out to the group....This was a very weird and "one off" experience BUT did result in a major inconvenience to anyone who had an ordered vehicle in the possession of Allied Transport. My question is - Did anyone ask for anything to compensate for the inconvenience???? Either from Dodge HQ or their dealership?
Just found out how to track her.....She is close to Texas!

Why did you guys preoder these cars? I see IE's sitting on several dealerships every day.
I ordered at a dealership before you could order online. For me, I have a 1971 Dodge Challenger R/T and have waited several years for the 2011 model. I wanted 2 big blocks in my garage with 40 years difference and inverse color schemes.
I think the new HEMI's are considered small blocks.
Really? That's disappointing. You would think an engine with that much cubic inch and horse power, it would be a big block.
