2012 SRT8 Front Struts

Need Help! The strut bearing is bad on both Bilstein struts. These are the active damping suspension. I purchased the Pro Kit springs from EIbach to install. I called the Dodge dealer to talk about the stock replacement, however the ones I have are discontinued. 5181554AE and 5181555AE are the part numbers of mine. They said they have been replaced with 5181554AI and 5181555AI and they want $850 per strut. So I searched www.moparpartsonline.com for these new shocks and the web site says the newer ones don't fit my car.

I looked up the Eibach pro-damper shocks and struts. The web site says that they will not work on the SRT8. So I called and the rep said that they will work.

If this is the case then I'm stuck with using the Bistein B6 shocks and that they will only work with stock springs.

If anyone can help it will be greatly appreciated.

Eibach finally called me back and their engineers have tested and now approve the dampers to work on 2012 SRT8. They are in the process of updating their web site to list the SRT8.

About half the sites I looked at said the replacement numbers you listed do fit, half said no, many say cannot ship as contains hazardous materials. Examples of says it will fit

I would reach out to Luke at stevewhite and see what he says

Also KW makes height adjustable springs for use with active dampening, max drop is 1" though

But the Eibach Pros only give you 1/2 in Front, and 1 in Rear in any case

A Guy
That is all I want as far as lowering. I have too many others in our club that have their cars lowered so much that I have to plan stops on our cruises to accommodate how low their cars are. One road we went on has some pretty bad dips and they bottomed out. They were not happy..but damn don't lower it 3 or 4 inches. That is too much IMO!
