Yesterday afternoon, I got into my Challenger to take it out for a cruise but it would not start with either key fob. I could hear the fuel pump prime and the battery had plenty of power to turn the engine over. The engine would just spin over with the starter. The car had been sitting for about a month and a half before I got in it. The last time I drove it it ran perfectly and I've never had any mechanical problems with the car before. The car only has 22,000 miles on it and is completely stock other than a catback and a shifter. The car is still under warranty but I wanted to get an idea from you all as to what the problem could be before I take it to the dealer. Also, since the car is under warranty, will Dodge pay to have it towed for service? I had an OBD2 scanner and I plugged it in to see if there were any faults in the computer but none were found.

I had something like that happen with mine, I jumped it with my wives car. I've never had a problem since then. It was like it just didn't have enough to start.

Hi 74 'Cuda,

Per page 24 of your Warranty Manual:

"You are covered by the Roadside Assistance services if you are a purchaser for use of the vehicle. The Roadside Assistance services lasts for 5 years or 100,000 miles on the odometer, whichever occurs first, calculated from the start date of the Basic Limited Warranty."

You can read more information about Roadside Assistance in your Warranty Manual which you can download from www.mopar.com. If you decide to make an appointment for further diagnosis please don't hesitate to send us a PM with your VIN for additional assistance if needed!
