I have a question and hopefully someone could help. I have a 2013 Dodge Challenger I’ve had it a year and a half and never had any problems and runs prefect. Today I went to get new tires and the guy at the tire shop told me I should get someone to look at my car because it smells like it’s running hot and he looked under the hood and it had antifreeze some places and it looked low. I’m a woman and don’t know anything about cars but on my dashboard it’s not running hot, and runs fine but it is low of anti-freeze and looks like it’s spewed out. Does anyone know why this may be or what could be wrong?? I have 145,000 miles on it.

Welcome to the forum.

Hard to say but it could be your water pump bearing/seal is bad. Could be it leaked enough to cause air pockets in the engine. Looks like the engine may have gotten hot enough that coolant spilled out of the tank through the cap. You should have the system pressure tested.

Would also recommend you have the system flushed and thermostat replaced as the coolant is close to the end of its service life (10 year - 150,000 mile).

BTW there are 2 different kinds of coolant that were used by FCA...OAT (new coolant type) and HOAT (old coolant). Mixing the two results in sludge formation which could cause blockage in the radiator resulting in overheating. So if you ever pour the wrong coolant in the tank, it will cause overheating problems down the road.

It does look like coolant is being slung by the belt, more indication water pump, but there is coolant around the reservoir fill neck, so hard to tell

I had this similar problem with my 2014 Srt Challenger.my temps use to overheat and cause a big spill over the intake manifold pulley and belt.check your temps for overheating. May have air trapped inside your coolant and just needs to be burped out
