So I installed a kenne bell kit around 50k miles. Tuned in E85 the car made 566 rwhp 7 lbs of boost. Mild tune fun to drive. I made it to 70k and noticed the car was missing and would not accelerate strongly above 2200 rpm.
I did a compression test and 7 cylinders were at 200 psi, but # 5 was around 165 psi. I knew for a fact that wouldn’t be the Issue.
I did a leak down and numbers were decent.
Well I decided to remove the motor which took me 9 hours.
LOW AND BEHOLD AN INTAKE LIFTER FAILURE!!!!
It not only seized but grounded the cam lobe.
No wonder why it wouldn’t accelerate. Oh well now it’s time to bump the cu inches to (
426 with a stout forged bottom end. 😄😄😄

Unfortunate but atleast you get to really crank it up now. Is this a 6.1 or 6.4? And auto or manual? Im gonna guess auto
Edit: looks like 6.4

So I removed the camshaft and just like the lifter, the camshaft was toast. Surprisingly the #5 compression ring wasn’t cracked. So the 40# psi difference must have been the valve not sealing when I cranked over the motor.
