2014 Challenger R/T - inTune I1000-DCX - Dyno Results

2014 Challenger R/T - Lonestar Dyno Run - inTune I1000-DCX - YouTube

I purchased an inTune I1000-DCX and with all the different talk in gains from the tuner, I wanted to see before and after results. Gains were not as I expected, however, made some adjustments after the "canned" tune was installed.

All in all not to much HP and Torque gains. However, the changes show a big difference in throttle response and the car is pulling harder.

*Performance Mods before tune installed: 360hp & 382 ft/lbs torque

**Diablo 91 octane "canned" tune: 368hp & 390 ft/lbs torque

***Diablo 91 octane "canned" tune w/ adjustments: 370hp & 394 ft/lbs torque

Nice so no driveline loss on the factory rating? That means you added power right, or is it the dyno?

What adjustments did you make on top of the 91 canned portion?

No driveline loss, all performance improvement. Dyno showed before tune 360hp & 381 ft/lbs torque, then on Dyno after tune showed 370 & 394 ft/lbs torque. Some little gain in HP & Torque so i guess a "slight" power added. As such, im sure adding 10hp and 10-15 torque you wont feel to much of the gain but definitely notice the response & performance improvement of the car.

Made the following small adjustments:

-Colling Fans AC OFF (Adjustment made for 180-TStat)
--Low MPH LS Fan On @ 190.39 deg

-Colling Fans AC ON (Adjustment made for 180-TStat)
--Low MPH LS Fan On @ 190.39 deg.

-Raise Rev. Limiter
--6100 RPM

-Vehicle Speed limiter (not necessary to do)
--155 mph

-Throttle Response Booster
--Set at full 20%

-Wide Open Throttle (WOT) Fuel {helped safely lean the air/fuel ratio between 12.50-13}
*1k-3.8k 1%
*4k-4.8K 2.5%
*5K-7K 3%

I set my throttle to 20% too when I first installed it, but found that it had much better throttle response at 15%. It's almost like it had an initial bog at 20%. Mine is a '13 R/T auto. I also used the 93 tune. You won't really see much of a HP gain at WOT with these tuners. Where they really shine is power down low and throughout the power band.

R/TWildChild, your 14 Challenger R/T is a 5.7 Hemi? 360 rwhp for a 5.7 is real good since the advertised hp is 375, and that's a flywheel reading isn't it? I'm getting ready to do the inTune I1000-DCX purchase and install too so thanks for the well timed post by you and the changes you made for the last pull. :bigthumb:

@rajunz - I haven't had any bog downs from the throttle boost, but then again mine is stick shift. No expert here on that though, so whatever works best for each's car then Hell Yeah is what i gotta say.
@Mach2 - Yeah its a 2014 R/T 5.7. Stock Challengers (at least the ones i saw on the dyno) normally run 320-335 at the wheel. Mine isn't stock, small mods are original 40 series flowmaster exhaust, K&N 63 series Aircharger, JBA Longtube Headers (catless), Mid-Pipes & 180 T-Stat. So with that said, the bolt-ons with NO TUNE gained 25-40RWHP.

*UPDATE* Info gained from HHP. Recommended 180tstat fan settings for use with the Diablo tuning features on applicable vehicles with adjustable fan settings. Set All 9 Fan Settings (both Air Condition On and AC Off) to:

- All HS (High Speed) Fan Settings to 194 Degrees
- All MS (Med. Speed) Fan Settings to 192 Degrees
- All LS (Low Speed) Fan Settings to 189 Degrees

*Failure to set your fan settings at these higher temps will result in your fans constantly running and can cause your fan motors to burn out prematurely.
