You know the difference between a good comic and a bad comic telling the same joke? Delivery. You know the difference between your information and RS's information? Delivery. RS tries to deliver whatever information he has in a straightforward and respectful manner, you on the other hand deliver it in a way that is condecending and belittleing(Challenger 101 LOL from above). Yes, you seem to have plenty of inside information as well, but the way you present it turns people off. Now you are obviously jealous of the "thanks" RS gets and yearn for the same respect. Have to agree with this post in its entirety. Best way to have RS stop providing information is to criticize his efforts made by the infinately tiny percentage of those who are apparently unappreciative. Most of us who've been on these boards know you won't find a more reliable source of information and his track record going back to 2005 speaks for itself.

Why am I in this thread? Well as fate would have it a post was reported and after going through the timeline and sequence of posts I can only assume who it was directed at although it's not entirely clear. Not prepared to do much other than to remove the reported post. Sometimes even though wrong you can't help but be understanding by taking the preceding posts in context with the post.

Now we get back on track. Agreed?

Perhaps posting their contact information and the contents of the email verbatim violates forum rules. But I'm sure you can disclose which dealership asked for $25,000 markup on their vehicle.

These greedy dealers need to be exposed. For those who disagree, yeah yeah capitalism I got it. They are a private business and they can ask anything they want. That doesn't make them immune from the consequences of their choices, in this case their reputation. The "free-market" works both ways.

This is what you can expect...

Here are all the status codes Chrysler uses to track cars in production. Ask your dealer what your Status Code is (BX, D1, etc). They have online access and can tell you the Status of your car anytime.

If you don't have a VIN then you are probably in BX.
Usually the longest wait is BX.
A VIN is assigned in D.
You want to get to D1 as soon as possible.

• BB Review by fleet department
• BD Special equipment processing
• BE Edit error
• BG Passed edit N/A for schedule
• BGL Edit ok parts unavailable
• BX Passed edit available for schedule - The order has been accepted. Until your dealer has an allocation your order is on hold.
• C Sub firm – This means the dealer has an allocation for this order.
• D Firm schedule – Dealer has allocation and all parts are available. Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) is assigned. Waiting for spot in build rotation depending on model/transmission/color. You will be assigned a build "week", a rough estimation of when it will be built.
• D1 Gateline schedule – Scheduled to be built and a ship date assigned. The ship date is pretty accurate; it may be a day sooner, or several days later.
• E Frame
• F Paint
• G Trim
• I Built - not OK'd
• J Built - OK'd
• JB Shipped to body vendor
