I was looking at purchasing this vehicle and was wondering if anyone has an opinion on buying an 8 year old car. It says there are 0 problems and the car is a certified pre owned. It is a dodge challenger R/T and just wanna see people’s opinions. No accidents, 23 service records.

I don’t have enough information to provide an opinion and even if I did, it would only be an opinion.

A qualified and trustworthy third-party mechanic will be able to determine the vehicle’s actual condition. With that info, you can make an informed decision. Please have it looked at and best of luck.

Given the mileage, this was not an everyday driver. Just hope software updates have been done to the Uconnect system along the way. No reason not to buy it. It comes down to the price, and if you are willing to pay it.

If your buying from a reputable dealer, there is very likely no issues as stated. But, you need to look at what has been done for scheduled maintenance if possible.
I have a '12 R/T with 27,500 miles. Bought it with 18,000 miles from a dealer in 2018.
There were no issues then and no issues since.
Take it for a good drive and see how it performs and sounds. Make sure all the electrical works as it should.
Happy shopping.

The age is NOTHING. It's all about condition and how those miles were accumulated, hopefully not 1/4 mile at a time.
Off hand, with no knowledge of the car you are looking at, I'm impressed by all those service records. Someone loved that car to have it serviced so much unless it was for problem repairs, not the typical oil changes, tire rotations, fluid change stuff.
Good luck!!!

I purchased my 2016 R/T as a used 5 yr old with just under 24K miles two years ago from a major Toyota dealer just south of Atlanta. Zero issues since, save for a starter that went kaput and a couple of tire replacements due to the nail too close to the sidewall to repair. The car is approaching 50K and she's been a dream to drive.

In my case, all but the last year were spent on lease with the original owner. I did my due diligence since mufflers and resonators had been removed and a JLT CAI installed by the second owner; I'm owner number three and service records along with Car Fax were excellent.

With the low mileage, if I were to do it all over again, I would skip the extended warranties and save some $$$. But that's just me.

Best to you!

^^ I really like hearing glowing reports like yours. Thanks for posting details. Gives me more optimism going forward.
I agree about the extended warranty for the most part but I bought one just for the NAV screen and it's components. Too expensive to repair when things break.
