^^^this exactly!!!I also was all set for a highly optioned SP Shaker but now I'm kinda digging the new air scope on the SRT (which also has the flatten bottom on steering wheel). The only draw back seems to be on the SP Shaker is the wait and on the SRT is the UGLY wheels!!!
I would like really to go with the SRT but don't think I can handle those wheels!!!!!!!!! ARGGGGG Don't know what to do now. I would hate to spend the money to change the wheels on a brand new high-end car.
I wonder if the dealer would swap wheels off a 14 SRT?? Didn't they change the tire size for 15?
I like those too. Originally the current wheels and the big brakes were a packaged option for the srt. Then they made it standard. I wonder if the reason the wp3 is not an option, has anything to do w/ it being a 9" wheel??I keep seeing photos of some SRTs with the WP3 wheels which I like much better, maybe that is a choice for the SRT. It says it's option for SP but don't know why they are showing up on SRTs if they don't make them for it. Anyone having any info???? I really don't care for any of the SRTs wheels they are all the same actually just different colors.
Good list. Here is my view of the SRT vs SP for the additional cost if SP equipped the same you would still not get these in the SP and difference in cost is about $3500. Of course you have to like the hood as much or better than the SP, which I do.
I also built a 2014 SRT online and it came out about $3000 more than the 2015 and the 2015 has more equipment.
SRT advantages
better and adjustable suspension (adaptive damping)(configurable drive mode)
Much better 6 piston Breaks and larger disk
Slightly larger tires
Spare tire delete with tire patch kit and compressor
Much better sound system 900 watt with 18 speakers with subs in the truck
Flat bottom steering wheel (helps getting in and out when your older like me)
Fade away mirrors are multifunctional (not sure what the difference is from SP)
Aluminum Hood
Did I leave anything out??
Same here. The car is sick!! Hope ur right on additional wheel option, but I'll prob order one anyway. At least for now I'm leaning that way.Yep-Good catch Bones
I added it, anything else?? I know they won't do it but bet you can put a 9.5" tire on a 9" wheel probably not a very safe thing to do though. Maybe something will show up soon that there is another wheel available for the SRTs.
That's the only thing I don't really care for in the SRTs, love everything else!
Congrats man!!!capecodcaper-- What was the list price or invoice?? Don't know how much of a discount the affiliates get?? My MSRP was $50,275.
Placed my order today- He said they did not have any optional wheels listed or available to choose from. Went with stock leather with suede inserts. They upped their estimate on my 2014 trade to what I had to have to close the deal. Taking it to them to drop off in the next couple of days for I have another car to drive and don't want to take any chances.
White SRT
8sp Auto
Moonroof
Nav
Technology group
No stripes
Think he said they will have an order pull at the end of the week and mine would take off then.
Will those fit the larger brakes? You could always put SRT Black Pocket or Black Chrome Vapor wheels on a 15 for a decent price.
Whoa!! Nice!!:elephant:I now have a shipping date of 4 Sep:elephant:
One would think.......and hope. :icon_smile:Oh I know but from what I'm told production times are pretty similar
Congrats!!.....and if that's settling, I'd say u did well. I almost got the same car.I went back and forth. First it was the Hellcat, but I got tired of the madness very quickly. Then I thought about a 392 SP Shaker. Love the hood, but I don't want to wait till Jan. Settled on a SRT, ordered today. I think it was the right choice. My dealer says 6-8 weeks. Pretty psyched.
Yeah, it seems most people, myself included, don't like the looks of the front mounted orbe it takes to run that package.Thanks. I opted not to do the technology group. It hardly rains here in Vegas so I wouldn't need rain sensing wipers lol. I have no idea what
adaptive cruise control is.
