Here is my view of the SRT vs SP for the additional cost if SP equipped the same you would still not get these in the SP and difference in cost is about $3500. Of course you have to like the hood as much or better than the SP, which I do.

I also built a 2014 SRT online and it came out about $3000 more than the 2015 and the 2015 has more equipment.

SRT advantages

better and adjustable suspension (adaptive damping)(configurable drive mode)
Much better 6 piston Breaks and larger disk
Slightly larger tires
Spare tire delete with tire patch kit and compressor
Much better sound system 900 watt with 18 speakers with subs in the truck
Flat bottom steering wheel (helps getting in and out when your older like me)
Fade away mirrors are multifunctional (not sure what the difference is from SP)
Aluminum Hood

Did I leave anything out??
What about the seats?

I think the top two alone would probably close the 3500.00 gap completely. When comparing an equally optioned SP to the SRT, I think the SRT is a better buy with the exception of the lack of wheel choices. That's not factoring in the additional options that are available on the SRT that are not offered on the SP.

While the SP is an awesome ride, I personally view it as the replacement for the SRT Core with more flexibility on option packages which can save $. For those who want the base car with little to no options at a great price, the SP is the way to go, but if purchasers want moderate to fully optioned SP's, they might wanna really consider the SRT preminum.

Just my take on it.

If that's the case. 3500 dollars is not the true difference, at least between yours and a completely optioned out scat pack at affiliate pricing. I got everything except for the appearance group on my sp and it's 40800 out the door.

I just priced out a 15 SP with all options except sunroof and appearance group and the total came up to 46K MSRP & 43K invoice on cars.com.

If you dont mind me asking, what was the price before the affiliate discount because that's what most will pay if they dont have it or a similar discount.

With the price of a fully loaded SP at or near 46K, all things equal, I think the SRT is possibly the better buy because the same options that increased the SP price are standard on the SRT. Not including the SRT specific standard upgrades.

Cars.com build on a fully loaded SRT without sunroof & Laguna Sega seats.
