Decision....Decisions....Decisions....

I'm on the fence of either a nicely loaded SP 392 Shaker or an SRT 392.
Priced out the SP is ~3-4k cheaper depending on the shaker option cost. Add the SP appearance option and it's even closer. The SRT has a nicer stereo, bigger brakes, different suspension options, wider tires(pirellis vs Goodyear).

Are those things worth the price difference? That's where I'm at.

What's everyone's opinion on the stripe options for the SRT 392? Satin black and gloss silver, do you like them, or would you want a Challenger without the stripes? How about the way the stripes are cut around the hood scoop? I'm looking at Redline tri-coat, but the stripes I'm considering look darker than the silver ones offered in the past. That's only based on the media's pictures though.
Just another thing I'm contemplating on the srt. I love the silver with black stripes. I'm also thinking I want to add a shaker later and go with no stripes and do after market shaker stripes. Wanna see a white one with silver stripes with that hood, just another color I might go with, but since I'm not ordering til possibly next year I might wait for the 2016 if there will be purple or orange.

Well after trying to order a sublime Scat Pack with a shaker, I gave up, went with the same in an SRT, all options, automatic, sunroof, dealer says can not do stripes with sublime paint, so he agreed to install black stripes after it comes in. Price was close to 49K. Will update when I go in and get paperwork. Dad always said buy the best you'll never be disappointed.
Congrats! Definitely post pics of your sublime with stripes, curious on what that will look like.

Actually for the money it does way more than auto wipers.

adaptive cruise-while on cruise if the car in front of you is slower the cruise will automatically slow down so you can stay in your lane and maintain a safe distance till you change lanes

Auto wipers-you know that

Auto high beam- You can leave your lights on high beam and will go to low beam automatically when car lights hits it. Had this on a Lexus I use to own and loved it.

Seemed like there was something else??
The adaptive cruise is only available on the auto and it's $900+ For the technology group on the auto. For the manual it's only $200 but doesn't have the adaptive cruise control, only the high beams, wipers and collision warning.

I just do not see the logic of the SRT except if you want the better Brembo brakes six pin vs the current 4 pin in black on the scat pack. You can get the SP3 wheels with the Scat Pack and get a loaded scat pack for a couple of thousand dollars less than the SRT opting out of the scat pack appearance group. Can someone tell me why the SRT instead of getting a scat pack with technology group, SP3 wheels, navigation, sound group, driver convenience group - all for less with the same color packages. Thoughts?
To add to the posts above, leather is standard on the SRT.

OK, here you go. This literally took 60 seconds. Didn't even know that dome was fake until you posted this. It pops right out: gotta stick your hand through the back and push in on the 3 clips and it pops right out the front. Not sure if you can see what you want from this but it's a black dome that you're popping out and with it being dark under the hood, it doesn't look much different with it missing. I just stuck my hand in there to show depth but with the hood closed, it just looks black: not very noticeable.

On that topic though, that hole is so small I don't know how the Hellcat gets away with sucking all it's air through that small hole. It's smaller than even the 80mm of the old TB's. Wouldn't that be a restriction? On a stock SRT, I don't really see any benefit in removing it until/unless some after market kits come out and maybe you could dremel out the hole to make it bigger. I'm sure the aftermarket is going to capitalize on this. I'm not sure it's a good idea to just pop it out. The stock air filter already feeds from the bottom and there's a wiring harness right behind/below this area. I'd be afraid that might get wet.

Mike
So could you put more driving lights there, is there wires for additional lights?
