Hey Guys,

I'm making another thread to highlight some of the fun stuff about the SRT. I made one for the Scat Pack and I plan to make one for the R/T. I have seen SO MUCH about the Hellcat but the SRT is missing a lot of highlighting.

The point of this thread is for people to have their questions answered. I will update the first post as they get answered. Post pictures, post comments, post questions. Post away!

Q: What is the base price for a SRT Challenger?

Q: What leather is available in the SRT?
A:
Two pictures below

Q: Is the hood scoop functional?
A:
Yes it is. It pushes more air into the engine compartment compared to the intakes of the lower models.

Q: What is the difference between the SRT and the Scat Pack?
A:
Think of the Scat Pack as the SRT Core with more options offered than in past years. The SRT stock gives you more options standard than the Scat Pack. It is most noticeable in the interior where you get leather standard as well as a higher quality sound system. You also have the option to get Laguna leather in many more tones than is available for the lower models.

For the SRT you also get the adjustable suspension and the SRT Performance pages (with more options than the SP Performance Pages). Other than that I do not see very much that is different. The biggest thing it offers is the ability to get many of the hellcat options in a smaller engine package.

MORE INFORMATION TO FOLLOW. IN THE MEANTIME ASK QUESTIONS, ADD INFO, HELP MAKE THE THREAD GREAT!

It would be great to see the items that are "exclusive to the SRT only" & not available on other models!!

Like to see "definitively" what sets it apart from the other 392 models!

Great work by you for the Scat Pack thread as well..

Ellis
OK thanks. I'll do some research and update the thread later today

I'll look for a good breakdown or I'll manually compare.

The SRT is, unfortunately, getting the least amount of press.

I also just updated the main post with leather and with the functional hood scoop question. Yes it works.

TECHNOLOGY GROUP (ADG) includes:
- ADAPTIVE SPEED CONTROL (NHP) (with auto trans only)
- AUTO HIGH BEAM HEADLAMP CONTROL (LMS)
- FORWARD COLLISION WARNING (LSS)
- RAIN SENSITIVE WINDSHIELD WIPERS (JHC)

Does this add the radar sensor even on the manual transmission (for forward collision warning)? Or is it only required for the adaptive speed control?
It only adds it for the automatic.

Ooops.

You're probably right. I was going off of previous years (chargers) which didn't have the forward collision warning.

Maybe they are like the parking sensors? It's entirely possible that the sensor is still there even with a manual

My dealer I have used in the past has told me I can order a 2015 SRT for 1% below invoice. My build invoice was 47,500 (added everything except the leather upgrade and tri-coat paint and no strip). Now they have a $399 doc fee so I'm actually looking at $100 below invoice.
If that's the case. 3500 dollars is not the true difference, at least between yours and a completely optioned out scat pack at affiliate pricing. I got everything except for the appearance group on my sp and it's 40800 out the door.

At the April N.Y. Auto Show introduction of the 2015 Challenger and Charger, I seem to recall Chrysler announcing a new service entitled the Mopar Custom Shop would offer a host of over 100 items to customize the 2015 Challenger and Charger during vehicle ordering, that these items would be installed at the factory and listed on the Monroney sheet. One wonders if this catalog includes optional wheels and when it will be available. One would think Chrysler would be interested in an early launch for this catalog to maximize the possibilities of additional point-of-sale income, but time will tell. I am biding my time to order my 2015 Challenger SRT until that catalog appears.
I want to know about this. Anyone have information?

Had to add Performance pages to the list of differences between the SP and SRT. I edited my post that shows all that. Only the SRTs have those for display and use.
Well SRTs have SRT performance pages, but the SP has the regular performance pages.

That would look good IMO. I really wish they had a deep forest green base color. Actually they do but it's reserved for SUV's and minivans.
Yes! That's the color I want.

So I found out today that Dodge updated the site so you can build and price '15s. I talked with my contact today, and I'm ordering my SRT on monday. Then I saw this while playing with the builder:

3.09 gearing? Please tell me this is a typo. I thought it was supposed to be 3.90, based on what this thread has told me. I've noticed that some of the features don't work(what will the striping look like with the new hood?), so I am assuming this is just unpolished garbage that was put up to appease the public. Anyone have insight? I know its a new transmission for the Challenger, but that seems a little too low for the 392. Especially considering I can get 2014 5.7s and 6.4s with 3.96.
Most 3.91 come on the manual transmission.

I searched on Autotrader and saw this lone Sublime R/T Plus <30 miles away in Somersworth, NH. I'm ordering a Shaker Scat Pack in Sublime, so I just had to see this color in person. It was everything I'd hoped it would be with a slight metal flake present. I don't remember the '06 Charger or Gecko Green Wrangler having this type of finish, as I believe they were a solid flat color. I'm looking forward to next Spring when the Shaker's available!
How far is that from nashua
