Just read on Auto-Blog about an upcoming recall (Sep 22nd) for catastrophic oil line failure for Chargers/Challangers/Hellcats made between Feb 6th 2017 to May 31st, 2017.

Appareantly the rubber used in the oil cooler lines didn't meet the company spec's.
it was seperating from the crimped aluminum portion of line line, letting the oil spill out. :surprise:

Recall goes into effect Sept 22nd 2017. Code "T48".

It doesn't mention engine size in the article.

I think mine is affected by this. Any ideas on how to tell a production date from a VIN?

Drivers door tag has manufacture date in

Date of MFR (Build) Month/Year

and under Barcode and VIN MDH (Month/Date/Hour)
