not complaining that I got 105K miles out of my alternator. Replacement is pretty easy for the most part. Couple decent youtube vids to help you along. OEM replacement according to my LD was about $500. I went with lifetime warranty O'Reilly rebuild for $150 with core exchange.

You got more out of yours than I got out of mine. I too went with an O'Reilly Auto reman unit, but I will say it was a pain to replace. There was a couple of bungee cords, a few 13mm wrenches, and a lot of cussing involved, but I eventually got it changed.

I'm actually glad this happened to you, well, not to YOU, but that it happened. I'm dealing with a P0622 issue which is intermittent and very hard to pin down. Everybody wants to blame my reman alternator, but I'm unconvinced. If you start seeing the same, then I will acquiesce and admit they were right I guess.
