Hey guys,

After my last oil change I noticed the gasket on my oil drain plug was getting pretty flat. I ordered a new one from Rock Auto for $7.00. I heard these can be re-used for awhile, how often do you guys replace your oil drain plugs?

Believe it or not, some change the gasket yearly. I'm not of that mindset. I'll change it once it becomes a problem, which is years down the road.

Unfortunately the oil drain plug gasket is attached to the plug and cannot be removed lol. I think this is how it is for the 3.5L engines. In order to replace it when it gets too old/flat, you have to buy a new oil drain plug.
