Driving back from Peterborough last night at almost exactly 1000 kms on the odometer my CEL light came on. No chime, and since it was not flashing and the car seemed to be running fine I continued on my way home for another 200 kms. No sweat, I drive with my CEL on all the time with my 2009 due to exhaust mods.

Anyhow, I took her in this morning to get the code read and the tech hooks her up and gets a print out. I'm shooting the chit with the service advisor in the next bay when the tech walks up and asks " Colin, I'm sorry but I've got to ask you this question."

My heart skips a beat but I'm cool because I haven't tuned or acheived warp speed in her yet.

The Tech says " It can be one of two things. Either an exhaust system leak..... or have you done two good trips at over 70 mph ( 112kmph)?

I said " F*ck off!" ( I know him pretty well and thought he was pulling my leg.)

He said " No, Colin", and showed me the TSB and that's EXACTLY what it said.

I said " who the h*ll buys an SRT and goes under 70 mph on long hauls?"

Long story short ,reflash and everything is cool. So if you don't get a CEL light by 1000 kms, pick it up a little! Haha!

I need a printout of that to show the cops why I was doing 140 lol. Honest officer, Dodge said I can't run this under 70 or I'll get a cel hahahahahaah

My CEL light came on at 820 miles while I was going about 20mph in Bad rain storm. I praying and thinking dont hail dont hail, then I hear a single chime and the CEL is on. ECO also stopped working after that and the trani would not down shift when slowing down. The next day after driving a couple hundred more miles the light went off and everything works fine.:werd:
