Just curious about what kind of mileage other SRT392 owners are getting. There is an older thread on this but it's 2 years old and no replies are allowed.

Mine has actually been better than expected. I really expected it to be about 15mpg but the last two tanks of gas, I've been hovering around 18. Just under on one tank and just over on the other.

Mine's a 2011 SRT392, 6 speed manual, CAI and Borla Exhaust. Everything else is bone stock. I use Shell 93 octane gas. Driving is combination city and highway, with Dallas rush hour traffic and the occasional YEEHAAAW! on the throttle thrown in.

I'm not bothered, either. You don't by a SRT8 for the gas mileage. haha My "good mileage" vehicle is my bike. It gets in the mid 30s.

You can actually get some pretty decent MPGs with the 392 if you keep your foot off it (which isn't easy!!)

For example cruising down the highway in 6th gear at 65 mph I can regularly get high 20s on a flat road. I was able to get low 30s once cruising at 60 (road seemed flat, but maybe there was a slight decline).

City driving isn't as good, but if you skip gears and get to 5th or 6th as soon as you can, it can get into the low 20s.

'16 392 / 6-speed here

around town ~ 16 - 16.5

highway has been as high as 24, but how fast you drive affects that.

I've seen ~ 22-23 in the 65 range, but 75 or above and its 20-21 with wind resistance. Ambient temps that are either really cold or really hot will affect MPG as well.

I'm running 275/40s so the rolling resistance is probably higher with those tires as well.

Still impressive to see that mileage out of nearly 400 cubes.
In the old days it was single digits and may 11/12 on a good day on highway with the wind behind you.

8.5 in the city. 10 if I drive like a semi normal human being. It's not my DD and I only put on average 250 miles/month. 5.5 around the track:) If I do city/highway, I get about 14 to 16. The most I've gotten out of a full tank was 270 miles.

Probably the most REALISTIC number I've seen! I barely get better than this with my 5.7.

My numbers are realistic for how and where I drive, thank you very much.

The computer tends to calculate low for me and right now I'm sitting around 18.5mpg with my daily 25-minute commute.

For a recent trip...

Fill-ups during trip:
12.04 gal
11.68 gal
10.97 gal
34.69 gal total

836.7 miles = 24.12mpg avg.

I do mostly city driving, stoplights every couple of blocks, 40-45 mph limits, and heavy traffic. About 12 if I take it easy, 10ish if I push it through a whole tank. 24 on the rare highway trip.

That sounds pretty close to my results. I need to get somewhere where there is actually open highway to see what I can get with real highway driving (6th gear with a relatively consistent speed for a while). My 75 T-Bird got a combined 12mpg haha, but it had a 460 with a big Holley and weighed about 5000lb.

I've got a 2012 6.4 Auto daily driver. Wanted to test a theory last weekend about what gets better mileage, A/C on and the windows up, or No A/C and the windows down. I usually do a combination of highway and regular road driving (some lights, but not city stop and go). When resetting the EVIC it showed an average of 17.

25 miles all Interstate with cruise set at 76, A/C on and windows up gave me 20.5. Reset it for the return trip, no A/C both windows down, cruise set at 76, I got 22.3.

I like to drive with the windows down and the stereo up, so after people telling me I would get better mileage with the windows up, I'm happy it seems to be the other way around.

I realistically get 19-20 commuting back and forth to work every day with mix of city and rural roads.

This tank of gas I got 14.2mpg with probably about 50/50 city/freeway. I can get 23mpg with no traffic and cruize set at 70mph. City driving the best I can get is about 13mpg.
