My 392 IE will be arriving hopefully before the end of the week. I had a great experience buying it from Lee Brown at Baxter in Nebraska, and I couldn't be more excited for it to roll off the truck. So here I am in the meantime on the forum to get my Challenger fix, trying to tide myself over until it gets here, and all I'm reading are posts about problems with the 392, month old IE's for sale used (thanks for that one Huggy)...everyone says the power is great, handling is great, but then it's at the dealer for error messages, warning lights, not starting, etc etc etc...cars down for days or weeks with less then 500 miles on the clock...don't tell us we've spent 46k or more for cursed cars!

I started this thread to hear from people who are having a great time with their 392s that are not bogged down with tech issues. There MUST be a bunch out there. Many here have it worse than me (GWE especially), so please share your joy to help those of us stuck waiting for our wheels. Thanks.

...end of plea.

Just finished break-in. Ecstatic. Zero flaws/issues. (except that the 730n only leaves about 12 gigs for personal use.) ;P

I think/hope we hear lots more from the folks who have problems than the ones that don't. Those also probably generate more feedback from members offering solutions, suggestions, sympathy and are generally more visible. Just theories though! :bigthumb:

Having an awesome time with mine. No issues. Arrived from the dealer in perfect shape. Dealer experience was great. Love driving it, listening to the exhaust, and flooring it.

Too much to list...

Don't worry. You're going to love it! I think you're observing a proportionally small number of issues on site who's purpose, in part, is to discuss those issues.

Picked mine up from Baxter's on Saturday. I've driven it over 500 already and all is good. Had a 2010 Camaro SS last summer and put 10k on it in less than four months without any issue. I'm praying for the same trouble fee experience as I really love my DWB IE...it is so much more comfortable and drivable than the SS. Here's to the next trouble free 500 and many more after that!

Good luck with the wait! That's the worst. They happened to have exactly what I was looking for, so got around that issue! Have fun!

Ha! Thanks guys. So far this is music to my ears. Baxter had exactly what I was looking for too, I just happen to live 1500 miles away so Lee set up a great deal for me even with transport. I'll have to drive back there one day just to shake their hand. Maybe on my first cross country challenger road trip! Keep the stories coming guys. We all need as much good news as we can get!

its a awesome looking car that gets thumbs up from passers-bye every 10 minutes

it sounds great every time i push the start button...i always let the kids hit the button now

ive pushed it slightly a few times and am impressed how it throws you back in the seats...i cant wait until 1,000 miles and 1 oil change so i can floor it to 100 mph and see what its like

With some of the bumps you've encountered Huggy, I'm glad to see your enthusiasm is still intact. You really had me worried when you started talking up the convertible camaro. At the end of this video, Ralph Gilles says they are guaging consumer interest in a convertible challenger..2013 maybe?

if the Camaro had a 3 person back seat id be all over a 2012 SS convertible for less than my 392...

the Challenger is my only option for my family for this type of car

The Challenger is like having a beautiful girlfriend who is a super model and really brings it in bed, but a few times a month is really f'd in the head..

i have extremely high standards for $50,000 and many of the standards when it comes to quality control havent been met....but at the end of the day i have a super model in my stable

My IE 392 has been perfect from day one. I love it more everyday.

My one week old 2011 Corvette on the other hand has already been in for service twice for a squeaky belt that can't seem to be diagnosed (I keep telling them it's the water pump slowly leaking on the belt, but the service writers think I'm and idiot). Two more tries and Chevy will have the pleasure of buying it back.

Ironic....my 2004 Vette has been perfect in every way since day 1!
Guess there's good & not so good examples with every make & model.
Just be thankful it's not a new Chevy Cruze...with the optional removable steering wheel! :satan:

RangerMan,
WOW! So you had Flowmaster exhaust installed before you tok delivery of your Challenger? That’s great! We’re glad you like the system.
