It was reported in AutoGuide and allpar that Dodge has a direct-injection 420 hp twin-turbo 3.6 Pentastar engine in the works. Could this be the engine that replaces the Hemi?

Sadly it may replace the R/Ts 5.7L(hope I'm wrong), but I doubt it'd replace the new 392..
No where does it speculate that it may replace the Hemi. It does mention Maserati and the new Viper.
Just speculating...With gas prices getting higher every week, I would think that Dodge and Fiat would look to produce a performance engine that didn't stop at every gas station.

I'd be surprised if there was much improvement with a twin turbo V6 over the 5.7 V8, but... I could be wrong.
I think that MDS gives the Hemi a big advantage over other manufacturers. How about an aluminum block Hemi with MDS and direct injection?
The allpar page on the Pentastar says that the 420HP twin turbo variant will be on a 3.0L version of it--not a 3.6L. Smaller bore for increased sidewall strength perhaps?
be a sweet engine if they ever dropped the Dodge Demon roadster, lol...wishful thinking
