i dont know the exact math behind it, but when i used to have my Trans Am, it had a 4500 stall and i got best results launchn around 5000-5200. this was with 4:10 in the rear, with M/T drag slicks as well.
I can foot brake mine to an easy 3800,.. Using the Trinity data loging I can see when I go wot, to when the car moves, then look at the rpm log at the same time it shows what the TC really stalls at, which mine is at 4100 when it leaves.
I have went from a dead idle to wot to foot brakeing and stab it.
Seems to me, I like to foot brake it so as to I preload the chassis. Feels better along with I get a better RT by preloading.
