I have a 5.7 HEMI with a manley stroker kit

stroke 4.050
piston 3.937/-1.5cc F/T

the camshaft is howards 786965-13

my problem now is that i installed 6.4 heads with a 6.1 ported intake manifold and stock 6.4 poshrods

after the tune with a\f ratio 11.6 and spark 15 from 3500 to 6100 RPM everything is ok after it starts retarding timing and knocks

before on 5.7 stock heads and intake manifold it was a\f ratio 12.1 and spark timing 26 there was no problems and RPM goes to 6850

I did a Compression test with the 6.4 heads and it was around 10:6
I used 5.7 stock gasket

I thank the problem is with the poshrods what is the right length for my engine

I would call Modern Muscle in VA. They should know the right size. I have a high lift cam .609/.598 on my 5.7. I got new pushrods from MM along with the PSI spring package when I had it installed. If you did not change the springs you might want to ask them about that also. HHP is another vendor that could help out.

Just out of curiosity, what kit did you go with? I was looking at some forged drop in pistons and rods to be able to raise the boost on my procharger. I know modern muscle has their stuff, Arrington has their k1 392 stroker kit. I have a completely stock 5.7 block. Would appreciate your help/opinion.
