Not to mention going with a forged rod defeats the purpose of a true drop in piston as you would have to disassemble the entire block and get the rotating assemble re-balanced.
How many whp can the OEM 6.4 rods with forged pistons resist?

A complete guess, 650whp safely. Either way if I got heads and oil pan off there's no way I'm gonna leave stock rods with a forged crank and pistons, might as well do rods too. Because you'll always want to turn it up down the road so better be safe than sorry.
