Was curious if there is any vendor who produced an aluminum pan and filter for the 8HP70, for the Challenger.

PPE makes version for the trucks and now carries one for the 8HP45/50 for the Wranglers.

They dont list them for the LX cars, assume fitment and clearance.

Does anyone make one or are the only options the composit ones. The PPE add 2 qts on trucks and 1.5 qts on the Wranglers.

The one you listed will fit without any issues , the other one guy listed is for the trucks which will hit the cross member

Issue with the hp70 is the filter is apart of the pan , so depending on their filter material can be a issue (had an issue with this where the filter fibers were coming apart and clogging all the solenoids)

Yeah, saw a guy on the durango forum who bought a budget pan for his 8HP45 trans and you could see the filter material falling apart. Going to perform a fluid/pan swap on mine this 4th of July weekend and I am looking for the pan. Saw that the mopar sites show two version 68233701AA and 52854834AB that work for my trans. Not sure what the difference between the two are but I take it the 68233701AA is an updated version?

Tough lesson learned; don’t go cheap on trans pan

So back in September of 2020, I did he engine swap and trans fluid change at the same time. Well, I tried to save some money and it has come around to bit me in the ass. I don’t remember which one I bought, but it was $120 less than the Mopar. I now know why. Within a couple of months, I noticed...

I just checked both those numbers on east coast mopars , the 52 number shows for 2022+ and the other shows for the other years but both for v6 cars

So for my 2017 Durango GT (V6) both part numbers show as fitting (according to the Steve White Autoparts site) so not sure what the difference is? Although the 68*** shows 2013-2018 and 52*** shows 2018-2022 yet if I enter my VIN it shows either one is compatible for my DD.

Doh! I need glasses...it said 52*** may fit and says 68*** will fit. My bad, and thanks for making me double check.
