They have the same setup. Same engine. Same headers and cats. Same active exhaust.

The 392 does not come with an active exhaust. I just drove and looked at one. No mention on the sticker. Sounded very lame. I know the hellcat has it but not the 392. The question is does it come with the scat pack? I called Dodge today and could not even get an answer from the SRT group! Lots of confusion on this one.....

The 2015 Scat Pack and SRT do have active exhaust. The valves are located before the rear resonators. The exhaust is noticeably louder in Sport mode with the Scat Pack.

The exhaust at WOT would rival the sound level of many aftermarket exhausts.

The SRT may not activate active exhaust unless you use Track Mode.

The exhaust on my '15 SRT sounds just as good as the aftermarket setups I had on my RTs. Not lame at all.
Yeah, lame is certainly not a proper description of the active exhaust. While it's not as loud as Zoomers or Borla ATAK, there is also zero drone.

After thinking more about it, I will likely perform the mid muffle delete for a little extra volume at idle. However, I will not touch the rest of the system.

Wrong information. The 2015 SRT absolutely has active exhaust. BTW I doubt you drove one, if you did it would have been obvious to you.

Oh how you are going to LOVE pushing that Track button while tootling along at 45 mph!; the second that green flag shows up on your dash, you'll feel the car surge forward, and the rumble come from deep within its chest.

(ya know, you CAN use the Track function while in the break-in period, I did, but admittedly it makes restraining yourself to the owner manual's proscribed speed limits that much more difficult!)

The exhaust on the SP is perfect! I usually upgrade the exhaust system on my vehicles, but this one is so perfect there is no need to change it out for an aftermarket system. Dodge did a really good job!

The Scat Pack / SRT active exhaust sounds better than the Corsa Sport did on my 2014 R/T.

Now a system like Bolra ATAK and Zoomers will be louder than the active exhaust, but sound quality is in the ear of the beholder. However, at WOT in Sport mode, the active exhaust is pretty loud.

I'm going to remove the mid mufflers on my Scat Pack. It increases the sound volume a good bit at idle while only increasing drone a fraction when MDS is on.
