Hi all, I'm new here, just bought a 2011 Challenger SE this weekend, and I love it! I have a question about tapping into the wiring in the ignition column for Accessary 12v for my Sirius aftermarket radio. I used to do audio/security installations in cars in the early 2000's but it's been years and cars have changed so much that I wanted to make sure that tying into the Accessary wire to power my Sirius Radio will be ok.

I know read somewhere that you have to be careful adding electronics to the new challengers, any advice would be really appreciated!

Thanks all!

Would run it straight to the fuse box in the trunk to be on the safe side.

From what I've found the easiest place to tap into 12V accessory near the dash is the 12V accessory port in the center console. The console is easily removed and you can run the cable under the dash to pretty much any location in the front. This wouldn't be any good for head units as it won't handle a lot of power, but for something like a Sirius receiver it will be fine.
