Ever since my 12yr old son road in the passenger seat, the airbag light is on. It goes out for a split second after I start it, but then goes back on. It does not matter if there is 200lb person in the seat or if it is empty.

Anyone have this issue?

My air bag light came on for 30 secs one day. Went off and a minute later came on again and never went off. Only thing on the seat at the time was my purse. Took it to the dealer and they tore the car apart to find ORS (occupancy restraint sensor) was bad. They replaced it and all is good. It happened in my 2010 SE.

Definitely take it in and let them check it out. Insist they repair/replace any potential defective parts. You certainly don't want an airbag to deploy during normal driving.

The 06 magnums had the same issue. Solution was for the dealer to recal the seat airbag sensor.
