Any one know if the mercedes/AMG start buttons will work on our cars? because a machined aluminum start button would be so much sexier then the cheap plastic we get.

The port (where the fob is inserted) is the same size for Chrysler and MB fobs.

I accidentally grabbed the Dodge fob w/o looking closely and "tried" to start the 'Benz with it...pulled the fob out and found my answer why it wouldn't turn.

I'll see if it works, just ordered one to give it a shot.

Initially its a no go, button is wider, but might fit if not for the fact that it's mechanism is shorter by almost 1/4". I'm not certain I could get it out if I fully seated it as it would be far more recessed into the dash. Pics to follow. Angle of the 'key' is almost vertical on the MB fob vs. Closer to horizontal on the stocker so the lettering on the face won't be correct either.

I read this too late. Could have saved you some time, I tried it and my mb button would not work like you said.
