The Chik-Fil-A is a nice 'show' usually about 50 cars total. Nice People.

As far as the Cherry Hill Silver Diner show, it is a nicely run show, and a GREAT CAUSE, but I will never go. It may be a personal thing for me, I was there last year and will not go back. NOT ONE car later than 2000 got a trophy. I confronted one of the judges and they said it was on a point system, LOL. I aksed him why the hell a certain car got one, because the fender was soo far off you could see it from 20 feet away, and that guy got a trophy.

I am NOT a sore loser, I personally don't care if I get one, Iknow my car has a certain taste to it, and not everyone likes it. But there were about 25% newer cars and NOT ONE got a trophy.

Anyone wants to stop by and talk Challengers is more than welcome to come to my house. Not sure I have beer on hand, but if I do, we can have a regular powwow.

We go to the Boonton car show Friday nights, roughly every third Friday. It is right across from the IHOP, right off 287. That stretch right around Boonton of 287 is a really nice highway for driving your Challenger if you get my drift............

NJ Mopar club has them regularly all over the State. Check out their website for information.
That club is way to clicky. You're either part of the certain group or you arent. If you arent, you're ignored totally. It's an American version of ricer burner central. Everyone there is about out doing someone else's car with fancy paint jobs, lights on the cars and performance mod's. It's also a rich mans club.

Booster, I don't want to agrue or anything like that. If you saw the car I'm talking about you wouldn't believe it. I do realize there a different flavors and styles. An as far as getting a trophy, I really don't care that much, bu tNO newer cars got anything, why go if nobody is appreciated.
Yes my rims INSIDE are always clean as is the rest of the car, and I have a show board I made at Kinkos, 10x better than the ones you can buy online or at bigger shows. I have not been doing the car show thing for long, but I am very keen on what needs to be done once I get there.
Im not here to argue, I just wont go back if theose same guys are judging.

Ron, I am part of the NJ Mopar Club, and I DO understand where yiou are comming from 100%. I will try to explain this as easy as I can. Those guys have been around each other so much(former NJ Charger Club) that they have alot always to talk about. They go over each others houses ETC... They are actually very good guys, but it does taqke some time to 'break in' to their group. They really are not being standoffish(spelling) at all. It is also hard for me because I'm from close to philly, and most of them live kinda far from here, so I can't get to as many things as I would like. Which means it takes alot more time for them/me to learn about each other. Know what I mean?

Boontown is about 2 hours away for me. I will go if theres gonna be alot of us going to be there.

I know many "ex" members of that club, one of them the nicest person's you can ever meet. This person was pretty much shown the door cause they didnt own a Mopar anymore. I've been told that "someone in higher office" sits back and watches everyone else do all the work while this "higher office" person takes all the reward and credit for the accomplishments too.
I'm not here to bash but that isnt what a club is supposed to be about. It's supposed to be about having fun together and loving cars, not making fun of another persons car cause it's whatever it or or cause it's a GM or Ford. A member of that club even said that with them it's all about numbers to be the biggest and to stick as many stickers on vehicles with their name on it as possible. That even people with pick up trucks are in that club or people with rusted out Chrysler Cordoba's. It might be big within itself or to it's members but around the car show/meet and greet event's, it's actually laughed at and looked down upon. :gotrice: :SM130:

I retract my earlier invite. If your car isn't driven on a regular basis, is super show car clean, please don't stop by my house. I can't stand show poodles.

Happy to meet up in Boonton once they get going again later in the Spring. We could have a bunch of us up there - just $1 to be part of the raffle to get in. Sometimes I just bring the Magnum (sometimes not enough time to wash the Challenger) and park it outside the show area at the IHOP and walk through - I just love to look at nice cars, especially American muscle cars. Usually, I just bring the family, park the Challenger in the show area, lock the car, go have dinner with my family at IHOP, come back, see the cars, talk with some people, try to learn something and go home. Sometimes I go on up with one of my friends who likes to show his corvette or viper there. I do not expect or care to win anything. My car just is a 2009 White Challenger to add to the muscle car mix. It is always nice to have all colors represented! Boonton is a nice car show because they pretty much are almost all American. Every series of corvette, old cars (50's T birds etc.), modern cars - usually a nice mix. Every series of muscle cars usually are represented. Some guys bring modded Challengers, others bone stock ones - I appreciate them all and am sure most of us do to.

As far as NJ Mopar club, I am not a rich guy by any means but I have always been welcome and I attend events infrequently. The guy known as HeminBayville is so nice. He helps guys with mods if they ask all the time. The NJ Mopar group are helpful keeping guys / gals from getting ripped off on equipment (CAI, catbacks etc.) or local services if you want it for your car (dent repair, tires etc.) So, do not be afraid of them - if their events work for you - why not.

So, tough for me to meet up due to my schedule but happy to try. Happy to go wherever you guys want - always cool to go to a barbecue. Jersey Shore in the summer, Boonton - anywhere, just have to coordinate.

For some of you Central Jersey guys, the Edison Light Cruisers start their Thursday Night Cruises tomorrow at the Home Depot on Route 1 in Edison. Just south of the I-287 interchange. DJ, trophies, games, and 50/50 from 6-9. Mix of old and new. Everyone welcome. The DJ is a life long mopar guy that currenly has more then a half dozen mopars from the 50's through 2009. I'll be there a little late tomorrow.
