yeah, same price points. 10 rt = 11 se. but mostly i want to hear from challenger owners in regards to the new engine: legit or not. 307 hp may be enough for my wife's go to work car. i like the new interior and i like the "greeness" associated with a high tech v6 vs the hemi.

so, does anyone have one of these yet? and obviously i'd rather have a hemi, but i can't always have what i want, right? when my wife learned that a challenger could be had for the same price as a pentastar four door wrangler, she asked me to look into it.

thanks,

rick

If you are really comparing the '11 SE vs. '10 R/T IMO, the only real way to do that is arrange a back to back test drive and make the call for yourself.

so no one on this entire forum can give an opinion on the new v6? wft? are they that new? i understand they've been in the jeep gc for months, did they just start showing up in the challengers?

do you really want a rookie like me to critique the two back to back?:)

tomorrow i drive them and report back!

I've test driven the new 2011 V6 Challenger. It has a little more grunt than the 2010 V6, but it's no Hemi. My advice would be to test drive them with your wife back to back.

how much of a violation would it be to put the side R/T stripe on the six cylinder model and tack on some hemi badges? i think the car looks so much better with the fat double side stripes.

i looked very closely at two side by side, the "se" and R/T look identical sans the badges and wheels.

tomorrow i'm driving the 3.6, a '10 hemi and a '11 392 [that one just for fun]

and also before that, i'm driving a stang 6 cylinder 2012. tomorrow's gonna be fun.

The Pentastar 3.6L V6 is not available in the 2011 Wrangler 2 or 4 doors.

You can put the Defender stripes on sans the R/T. Get a stripe co. to do S/E under the stripes and your good to go.

You can put a $1000.00 saddle on a dead jackass and it will still be a dead jackass.

Yeah, that's kind of funny if people really believe there is a "green-ness" factor for getting the v6. They could put a 1.5 L 3-banger in it, and it isn't going to suddenly become "green". It's only going to be about as green as you expect any 4000-ish lb vehicle will be green, regardless of the engine. Anything more is just media hysteria/obsession with some irrational correlation between engine size and economy.
