looking to replace the O ring on the camshaft position sensor. its weeping oil very slightly and have no idea where to find the part number. i've had it out before to inspect it and it looked ok. it doesnt leak to a drip on the ground, but you can see the oily residue around the plug.

can anyone look the part number up please?

thanks.

edit: i found this pic over at the lxforums...the pic is of a charger, but its in the exact same place

Inspect the sealing surface where the o-ring sits in the manifold, and inspect the seal groove on the sensor for any scratches or damage. Or you just have a bad sensor housing.

Have you checked with the dealer to see if the seal comes already installed with a new sensor? If it does, it would be near impossible to get a part number.

The manufacturer of the sensor might be able to help you.

If you have option of using another car, take the o-ring to a local hydraulic repair shop in your area and they can size it for you. Viton seal material would be good choice. It has a good low and high temp range.
