Had to bring in my baby to get the plastic trim piece that runs from front wheel well to rear wheel well replaced on D/S. Noticed a 4 inch crack/tear at rear.

What causes this? Using the wrong jack points? Crappy parts?

Crappy parts. This has happened to cars that have never even been lifted. Had both of mine replaced

I had to have my passenger side replaced because it was coming out of the clips...

My 2009 never had any cracks. On my 2012, both were cracked when it was new on the dealer's lot. They replaced them both, and they are still OK. I did loosen the bolts a bit which someone on here suggested, maybe that helped somewhat with the expansion and contraction.

Anybody have a picture of the cracks? I'll keep an eye on mine.

I wonder if it's a cold weather issue? Anyone down South with cracked cladding? Mine are perfect so far.
