Had the uconnect replaced on Dec 22 for a fault with the phone system. Just got it out after its winter slumber and found the back up image doesn't always show on the screen. Still has the check surroundings warning, but no image sometimes. Car went out of warranty in January. Only has 200 miles since radio was replaced. Anyone else have issues with back up image? Goes in Monday. Wish me luck. Dealer left the interior filthy last time. White interior car. They were very careless.

Does any warranty on warranty repair work expire when the warranty expires? If not I'd take it back. Reads like in replacing the uConnect module the video feed from the camera was not connected properly.

After a rain or a washing sometimes my car's backup camera image is blurry from water on the camera lens. Be sure the camera is not blocked with say a cobweb or something.

Getting the camera replaced. Dealer is doing it under good faith since it just went out of the 3 year part of warranty. Only has 17k miles on it. Also have had the image freeze on the screen. Hopefully the new part fixes the problem.

Any idea if they have to remove your spoiler to get the actual camera out?

Back from the dealer and have the same issue with not getting an image when in reverse. I didn't think the camera was the problem since everything worked fine with the old radio. Have to set up a time to get it back in since I am busy this afternoon. They also put a nice three inch scratch in my spoiler. I think I might try to see if another dealer will take over with this since these guys are too careless when working on customer cars.

Back from the dealer with nothing resolved. They checked the connections on the radio and tried an update with no success. Dealer believes it is an issue with the radio, but Chrysler thinks they need to check the wiring throughout the car. Problem did not start until after the radio got replaced because of an issue with the phone system. I have been told that the replacement radio is a refurbished unit since they are no longer using this model. Really don't want the whole car torn apart.

Radio comes out and hooks up easy enough. They don't have a car on the lot, or used, that they can just plug in that cars head unit to see if the problem goes away? I understand them not giving you that radio, but they'd know if that was the issue. A Guy

Received a voicemail from a case manager last Thursday. I am unable to have my phone on me at work. I called back on Friday and had to leave a voicemail. In that voicemail I left directions to call my wife if they could not reach me. So get another voicemail today from the same case manager. NO CALL TO MY WIFE! I call when I get off work. Voicemail again! Left the same directions as last time. This has been nothing but a nightmare.

mine stopped working correctly last weekend so will be taking mine in to dealer in a couple weeks. they put a 3" scratch in my spoiler after all the work i've done to her i'll not be looking for another dealer, i'll be throwing a fit till they do fix it.

Wonder if Chrysler will want them to tear your car apart to check the wiring. That is what they were telling the dealer to do with mine. No one seems to get it or they just don't care that I had zero problems with the backup camera until the radio got replaced for a fault with the phone system. After talking with a trusted long time tech on another forum he informed me that all the radios for the older models that need replaced get a refurbished unit.

mine is a '17 w/8" screen. i've had some slight trouble with the radio portion freezing, but the reboot always fixed the issue. i tried to reboot to see if it fixed the camera issue & it didn't. i'm still getting a pic it's just dark & discolored so can see anything. got to be just the camera, at least hope so. but one thing i know after your experience will closely & i mean closely inspect my spoiler when get it back. even though she's a DD i show her occasionally at shows, since she's a rare one.
