Here is the final product.

Throw reduction 44%.

Quiet- FULL isolation of the handle from the shifter makes this the quietest shifter we have ever produced.

Full replacement- No transferring of rubber dust boots. Comes complete with all boots.

Firm centering springs
- The only shifter on the market for your challenger that has self centering springs. They help mask the slop that is in the gear selector rod. This gives you a perfect 2-3 shift EVERY time. The transmission has internal springs but the problem is that when you change gears from the left gate of gears 1 and 2, and the right gate of gears 5 and 6, back to the center gates of 3 and 4, the shift rod moves back to where it needs to be, but because of the slop in the yoke, the linkage does not center back to where it needs to be. The centering springs in our shifter will help aid the yoke and linkage back in alignment with the selector rod.

Shifter- $425 (reuse factory knob)

Shifter w/ Flat stick and Ball- $499 (You can still use your factory knob)

People who pre-ordered for the 1st batch will pay $400 or $475 depending on option chosen.

Wow. That's a serious piece of hardware. Looks great. At the time of preorder I choose shifter only. After seeing that I may go for the flat stick shifter and ball if available as well.

goten9033- We are still on the 1st run. We made a few changes to make the install easier. Your best bet is to fill out the form on our website and we will contact you when we have them ready. We will be filing all the pre-orders and 2nd run sign ups before we release them for general sale.

TexasBock- No plans at the moment, to do a pistol grip. I highly recommend using a ball style shift knob. The pistol grips look cool, but they dont allow for a proper shifting technique.

Can you elaborate on that, please? I had planned on using the stock knob, but I'm not an expert on proper shift technique so I would appreciate the education.

Thanks,

Justin

Are all the first run shifters accounted for? I signed up for 1st run and haven't received an email, so signed up for second run just in case all 1st run shifters were sold out.

They r all spoken for. Some Emails ended up in spam so check there. They have said that signing up doesn't lock u into buying so I'm sure there will be a few that signed up just in case and will pass on it so I would imagine if there r 5 to pass on it then the first 5 signed up for the second run will have a chance at those.

I had the same concern since I signed up for the first run. Dave emailed me and said that they will send an email and follow up with a call.

At least they have sent or replied to you. I know he may be flooded, but I sent an email about the pre-order. I am unable to receive phone calls in my current location. Asked about getting all the payment and shipping details via email. Haven't gotten a reply from them. Although, I may be a bit impatient, it was only 6 days ago that I sent them the email. And, the day is not over yet.

From the sounds of it though, this is a very enjoyable mod, and from seeing the pictures and videos, I am pretty sure that I am going to really enjoy it being a part of my car. :roller:

There were a bunch of double and triple pre-orders by some people on the 1st run. Which means there are going to be a bunch of people that signed up for the 2nd run that will be getting them from the 1st run. There has only been 5 shifters shipped to date. We have 95 more people from the 1st run that are still waiting on shifters. Omaharumble and HemiRay did an install and found that there tunnels were a bit different than everything we have worked with. We made some changes to the shifter to accommodate for their tunnels. Ive next day aired them the redesigned shifter and they will both be installing them this weekend. If everything works out for their cars, then we will start sending some more out next week. If you are on the Pre-order list we will get ahold of you via phone. If we cant get ahold of you on the phone we will send an email. We will not be shipping all 95 next week, it takes a long time to assemble and package the shifters, and call and get peoples info and then print shipping labels. I would say we will probably be shipping about 30 a week. So depending how early you preorderd it could be anywhere from next week to 2 weeks.

Owend78- I replied to that email the day I got it. We do mass emailing from time to time, so because of that, a lot of the time our emails end up in spam folders or get blocked from peoples email accounts. The best way to get ahold of us for sure is Via phone or Private message on the Forums.

Thanks a TON for the update!! I have been checking my email 5 times a day waiting to see that one from Barton Industries!! LOL Hopefully this adjustment puts everything in the golden territory and they will start rolling out. Wish every manufacturer I have dealt with was as easy going and informative as you guys Dave! Hope every manual challenger on the planet ends up with one of your shifters!!

INthe next few weeks we will see a TON of threads of guys doing this install is what it sounds like!! WOOT!!!

Excellent! I know that yahoo isn't the greatest email service and I really do appreciate the feed back. I will use the PM on here for the time being (until I get back between the left and right coast that is). I can hardly contain my excitement for this.
Thank you again!!

Dave (I assume this is Dave from Barton posting) - what vehicles have you tested on? I know you have a 2011 SRT. Any chance you tested on a 2010 SRT? I'm looking forward to seeing the redesign. Will this be an across the board thing or will two variations be offered? Any pictures of what is changing or can you provide us a description of how the shifter has changed?

Here's how Dave described the changes to me through an email:

"As far as the changes made, we changed the dust boot by 150 thousands for more room inside the floor pan. The top knotch in the bracket we have made an offset on, so depending on the floor pan and where the shifter sits, you can flip the bracket around allowing for more room ( to the passanger side). Also we moved the center of the base allowing for a little more room. As far as the function of the shifter it will all remain the same. After seeing pictures and taking a second look of the people who are having noise issues, we believe there is just to much stress being put on the shifter. So the changes we made will allow for more room, and no stress."

Sounds good. I look forward to how it impacts your install. We have the same model year I'm just curious if there is some difference between an RT and SRT.
