Hello- i have a 2010 srt8 challenger with the navigation head unit- my local audio shop installed a custom box for a t1d212 fosgate woofer witha p1000-1db fosgate amp i know - this thing should sound super intense- however i feel it is being limited- i had suspected and a friend of mine also pointed out that as i raised the volume the bass actually either decreased or tops out way too early- i believe bass stops or levels out at about level 25(ish)volume- my question is there a way to resolve this? what ways are there besides getting a Aftermarket Headunit- i would greatlyyyyy appreciate any advice and look forward to any help- thanks in advance

I had the same problem with my Nav based system, my bass cuts out at about 24 the only solution I found was to get rid of the cheap LOC's my shop installed and my buddy installed a AudioControl LC2i which has "processing which automatically corrects for the bass roll-off that is common with many factory installed audio systems." It works great just took a lot of fiddling around with to get it just right, now I have strong bass with no drop out all the way to max.

I assume you would get similar results, I have a 2014 430N not sure what head unit you have. I don't think it sounds as good as an aftermarket head unit would, If you're not totally opposed to that route I think you may be happier doing that, for me it was a good compromise so that I could retain the stock look and functionality.

Audio Control LC2i is specifically made for this. It will stop the factory roll off and also has an optional bass control knob that allows you to adjust the sub level to account for different source material. Factory systems will roll the bass off at high volume to stop you from frying the crappy factory speaker.

No impact to your factory controls or functions at all. Just provides a nice, clean bass signal for aftermarket amps.

If you are ONLY adding bass to a factory system it is HANDS DOWN the best solution!
