Have a 2018 white T/A 392 with the flat black hood, roof, trunk and spoiler. What’s the best wax or protectant to put on it to protect it, but ALSO keep it looking flat black and not polished or glossy?

Check out: Adams Polishes, Chemical Guys, Auto Geek for a good selection of SPECIALTY detailing products for your flat black application.......... Do NOT use wax.
I also recommend to do a complete and PROPER detailing job on your car especially when new and maintain it on a regular basis so it looks "better than new."
Adams has some good info along with "how to" videos for beginners on how to use their products....... Great products with excellent customer service and I highly recommend them.

Detailing products are like sneakers...... Everybody has their favorite brand.

** Dr Beasley’s that was liked to in post #4 is some good stuff and can be purchased from the Geek and other stores.

You need to use products for matte paint/vinyl. Normal waxes will make the surface blotchy/shiny

Usually these threads turn into a “Which oil is best battle" where you get many replies that are mind boggling to the OP so I usually offer up three suppliers and you can make your mind up from there....... The detailing product world is filled with wacky advertising that make it hard to pick brands and nowadays the products are ALL very good no matter which supplier you buy them from. My suggestion is to wait for a 20-25% off sale and stock up on what you normally use.
For example: I use Collonite wax but Megs, Poor Boys, Girots, Pinnacle are basically the same....... and some people believe automatic car wash wax is the best.

Thanks for the info on Dr. Beasley’s. Also they are recommended or certified by Dodge for Matte Black finishes. Their 40% off was for Viper and Hellcat owners, but they granted me VIP for my T/A 392. Got a Matte Black Prescription package ordered. Again, thanks for the info and looking forward to this product line. Sounds amazing.

When I got my 2017T/A the dealer had it ceramic coating done I’ve had the car since May of 2018 go through a touchless car wash once a week and the water beads off the car like I just waxed it last week now I don’t know about you guys T/A but my car came with all the black matte as a wrap and not black matte paint when I read the owners manual it I thought my god I don’t want to have to go through all of this.mind you I have never once waxed my car.if you wanna check to see if your car is wrapped pop the hood and you can see where the wrap ends I highly recommend the ceramic coating its unbelievable

I don’t know about you guys T/A but my car came with all the black matte as a wrap and not black matte paint

Unless somebody changed it, all factory T/A's came with a satin painted hood with everything else being a wrap or decal.

I know slidd but my car is a wrap but I thumbing through all the owners manuals one manual was specifically just for the matte paint care and I’m thinking if I knew that I would have never bought the car even though I do love the look of the car.a guy that races his Hellcat at the drag strip owns a dodge dealership showed me that.who knows maybe some were and some weren’t I like the wrap most of the paint chips were right on the hood of my 2014 challenger

Ok I’ll can will say that after I got the car bought the special matte black wax and walking around on eggshells then finally I said to myself you know what if the matte gets screwed up I’ll just the have the car wrapped and one of the big no no’s is the touchless car wash.and I’ve been going through it once a week for 2 years it looks the same as the day I got it.

Slidd you might be right about that has a clean car fax.i couldn’t tell you how many times I’ve seen guys using paste wax on their black stripes.i bought this car the previous owner leased it then after decided he wanted a Hellcat 44k window sticker i got it for 31k with 3800 miles on he took a big hit when he got out of his lease.brockman i wanted that yellow likes your car and couldn’t find one are you running the daytime running around lights

The daughter switches them back and forth between the halos and the bright yellow DRL’s.....some think the bright yellow DRL’s look good since the car is Yellow Jacket. I personally like the halos best.

Ok the first time I saw a challenger it was yellow with the drl lights on I almost ran off the road looking at it.i wanted yellow and ended up with go mango instead .thats is a nice looking car you have
