It sure is a pain in the butt to empty the KB catch can once or twice a fill up. There must be a better way?

Something is wrong with your system if your catch can is filling up with every one or two fuelings. I empy my catch can every oil change. I believe that holds true for "most" of us running catch cans.

Thanks, I don't think the 5.7 has enough blow by with no more than I've done to need the extra protection of a catch can but all the pictures of really good looking engine bays have catch cans with braided hoses.

I empty my BT catch can every 2,500 miles. It is a pain to unscrew it, however. Newer BT models have an engraved grip. Other manufacturers have a drain hose.

I my opinion, they look great and help to protect the engine. A good $100 mod.

Here is mine:

It's supercharged is why it has to be drained all the time.
