I feel your pain. Its amazing what shops go through being at the mercy of credit card companies.
He got the money back because AMEX always sides with the consumer. Even though I had pics of his car in our shop getting the work done, pics of him in our shop. He has the mods listed in his sig on here. Of course I also had the receipts and all of that, too.So how did his credit card dispute go?
I'd sue AMEX. They may not hold "their client" liable. But with the proof you have, you can hold AMEX liable. I'm just saying...:browsmiley:He got the money back because AMEX always sides with the consumer. Even though I had pics of his car in our shop getting the work done, pics of him in our shop. I even paid to UPS his sunglasses to him the next day when he left them at our shop.
Pretty irritating to say the least.
Somethings not correct with this story you had the card in hand swiped it thru yor terminal and made a imprint or electronic record of the transaction then you should be fine ( I'm assuming ) .If you keyed in his numbers and didn't get a signature and did not swipe it and you didn't make a copy front and back of the card then you made the mistake .We as a company have over 10,000 Amex transactions each year and with proper documentation we have never lost a charge back dispute .If you would like to PM me I would be happy to help you get your money from this scum bag .As a consumer we all pay for trash like this guy who is trying to burn you .I'd sue AMEX.
