Its about that time...

My suspension is pretty much where i want it to be, i wont be boosting anytime soon, and i really need some beefier braking power on my R/T for the type of driving ill be doing. Ive found 3 options

Baer 6P kit
WILWOOD Aero6’s from steve white or TCE
R1 concepts (local to me, make a seemingly nice product used on a lot of mopars too)

What i need to know:

#1: Who has personal experience with any of these kits?

#2: IS THERE ANYWHERE I CAN JUST BUY THE BRACKETS FROM THESE DAMN KITS ARE PRICEY

#3: Are there any products i am overlooking?

Definitely want to keep two piece rotors for the weight savings and ease of replacement. And lets be real there is a cool factor.

Thanks folks

I just put the Wilwood Aero 6s on mine this winter. I'm very happy with them. Coupled with a set of Carbotech pads they really woe down all that weight. They even fit inside my 18" wheels without problems. TCE sells the brackets for them but not sure if they'll sell separately outside the kit. Worth talking to them. I know Wilwood does not, I talked to them and they directed me to TCE.

Edit: Oh and I saved about 10# per side with the rotor and caliper swap.

Wow thank you

Do you have any pics of your clearance?

Is your car and R/T?

Did you stick with the 14” or go up to 14.25” rotor?

I have a Scat Pack. I know the knuckles are different between mine and the RTs but not sure about the brake mounting. I went with 14" rotor. Wilwood #160-8398/8399 and the hats were #170-12908.

18x11" XXR wheels

18x11" Forgestar wheels

Back side with the XXRs.

Wow thank you.

So you’re running 11” wides on the front?? I have 9”’s on the front and ive been having nightmares about fitment if i order the lit. I have the bravado tributes all around and their website description says they are made for good brake clearance. They have a deep bellow to allow for this, i just hope it will be enough.

Again, thank you Steve

Yea I've got 18x11s square for autocross. They do need a spacer to clear the knuckle though and I'm also running extended studs. It's all about the wheel design as to if they fit or not. Have another guy I've been helping that just ordered XXRs and the model he ordered won't clear his 4 piston Brembos. The barrel design is different and smaller diameter than the model I have. And actually my 19" wheel clearance is less than either of the 18s. Also be careful of any super deep concave designs. The guy I ordered my Forgestars from said sometimes with the super deep designs the spokes won't clear. So we went with just a deep design with different offset.

This is what i am workin with. Not too concave in the front, but minimal clearance. You dont get any weird deflection with the long spacers? How big are they?

Yea you look good on the concave but you don't have much side clearance with the barrel. Nah the spacers are solid as a rock. They're hub and wheel centric 15mm.

I'm not sure if it's against the rules to list non vendor sites, but I picked up a StopTech ST60 front kit for about $1,500. To my knowledge, that price is still available.

I can confirm that they do clear some 18s, but you'll want to print out one of their templates (double check the scaling on your printer) before you spring for them. The pads were damaged in shipping (only the pads, somehow), the company had a new package in the mail less than 45 minutes after they took my call. I wish they were a vendor, I'd love to give them a proper shoutout.

Which wheels are those, by the way? They don't look half bad!

Wow and the stoptech kit is 6-piston as well? Ill have to look into them, thanks.

Wheels are the bravado tributes 18x9 and 18x10. My ultimate goal is to run the 10’s square but without a widebody its impossible lol

It is, but I should mention that my kit came with 1 piece rotors. They DO sell a 2 piece rotor in the same size, so you could always upgrade to them later if you want to save a little up front.

Ahh, what is the offset on those guys? I could probably live with an 18x9 if it doesn't poke past the fenders too far. My current wheels have a +2 offset and they poke quite a bit.

Not sure i think they only offer one offset on the 18’s

Gotta have 2 piece rotors
