Even though my brakes are fine, I have been researching the forum and doing my homework for the future.

I want to upgrade the rotors, pads and brake lines when the time comes. I have read that an annual brake fluid flush is recommended by stoptech.

So, the question is...How often do you actually change/flush out the old brake fluid and put in new fluid?

I follow what the European makes suggest - every two years. The fluid starts turning a deeper color as it absorbs moisture from the air.

I've done this on all my cars - never had issues with leaks or ABS systems.

Oddly enough, the American makes never mention this and you see lots of cars with fluid as dark as coffee.

If you run your car very hard being that your brake fluid also operates the clutch I would change to Wilwood EXP 600 Plus high heat fluid especially road coursing but even hot lapping drags will heat it up very fast, this stuff can take it!
