Challenger production has been reported to be on hold until the end of February due to a shortage of microprocessors/semi conductors. It affects other models as well as other brands.

I was just talking to a Challenger "specialist" at a dealership. He had no idea and it seemed he didn't believe me. 😆
A salesman is just that, they sell a product they have, they don’t follow all current events like an enthusiast does. When their supply dwindles then they may learn why.
I personally know a general manager and a sales manager and neither is a “car guy”. They make very nice money and live in very nice homes and cars are the commodity that they peddle.
My father was a jeweler for 45 years and didn’t personally own many pieces of it but we sure lived very well from it.
To them a car is an appliance and they don’t tie up their money in one. They are just as happy to drive a newer used car as a brand new one.
