Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family! I live on the beautiful Mississippi Gulf Coast and I ride along the beach daily in my RT. Is installing a CAI a bad idea when you drive in a beach environment? Blowing sand is a frequent occurrence. Thanks for any insight!

An air filter is an air filter. It should not make ANY difference. A CAI Filter still filters out sand, although with any system you choose including the standard setup your cleaning maintenance will be more often than the average joe.

Also keep in mind that often times, with an exposed filter, some applications recommend an outerwear pre-filter. It's like a bag filter that goes over the cone filter and can be easily cleaned more often than the main filter. I changed out the filter on my Ram Diesel and it came with a cone filter with an outerwear.
